The Bosch GPL 5 C Professional is the only five-point laser on the market to project a clearly visible laser cross on both the floor and ceiling. It has three more laser points at right angles to each other in the horizontal direction, and therefore offers all of the functions required for efficient partitioning of rooms in drywall construction. Plumb points and right angles are therefore transferred quickly and precisely, and leveling tasks are also done rapidly.

The user can easily see the laser points of the Bosch GPL 5 C Professional at distances of up to 30 meters both indoors and outdoors; in the vertical direction the laser crosses are clearly visible up to seven meters (to the ceiling) and three meters (to the floor).

Three operating modes for optimum, battery-saving work

This tool offers the ideal operating mode for every task. The three laser points in the horizontal direction and the two laser crosses in the vertical direction are used for room partitioning. The three laser points in the horizontal direction are sufficient for leveling work, such as those applications performed by plumbers or window fitters. If a partition wall is being installed or electricians are fitting fluorescent tubes parallel to each other, the users select the operating mode with upward and downward laser crosses and a laser point in the horizontal direction. To work with only some of the laser beams also saves the battery. Self-explanatory symbols on the control keys make it easier to set the operating mode.

The GPL 5 C Professional levels itself in less than four seconds, which makes it convenient to work with. A signal sounds if the tool is outside of the self-leveling range. It has a leveling accuracy of 0.2 millimeters per meter. The pendulum of the point laser locks when the tool is switched off. With dimensions of 146x57x119 millimeters and a weight of only 600 grams, this new point laser is extremely compact and light. It is also dust and splash-protected to IP54.

Bosch BM 1 Professional Universal Mount

The Bosch BM 1 Professional Universal Mount is available as an accessory and offers a wide variety of possibilities for fitting the point laser in place: using magnets or wall holders with a screw or pin or using the tripod thread for 1/4" camera tripods and 5/8" building tripods. Particularly advantageous features of this mount include the two fold-out feet for applications on the floor and the screw thread which enables fine adjustment of the height of the point laser.

The Five-Point Laser GPL 5 C Professional will be available at specialist retail outlets from October 2009 onwards at the recommended retail price of 235 euros. The recommended retail price for the set version in a box with a tripod and for the set version in a case with the wall mount will be 249 euros. The prices are excluding VAT.
